This page is dedicated to my adaptation of the Arabic script for Lingua Franca Nova. This adaptation can be used instead of the Latin alphabet and affords the author artistic and calligraphic options. The borrowings from the Arabic script are based on multiple languages that use the Arabic script.
The basic 22 letters
These are presented in LFN alphabetic order.
These letters can be used instead of their corresponding letter above based on style, original spelling, or ease of writing.
These letters are also optional, save for la, which is used for the LFN definite article.
This adaptation uses the Harakat when a vowel ([a~ɑ], [i], and [u]) does not end or begin a word.
