Finger counting

ye’o – zero
na’o – one
ta’o – two
ha’o – three
ma’o – four
ya’o – five
tsa’o – six
ka’o – seven
pa’o – eight
sa’o – nine

This is a method for counting to ten on one hand. Higher numbers are also possible. Ten is gestured by crossing the index finger with the thumb to make a “lower-case T”. One hundred would be to add the middle finger to the gesture for ten. One thousand is made by feathering all fingers – save for the pinky – across the thumb. Based on this, all numbers up to 9999 are easily made by a few gestures with one hand.
